Following the announcement about the former coach of two time Major Champion SK Gaming, Wilton “zews” Prado joining the Brazilian Immortals as their in-game leader, concerns were raised about the fate of Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves. He is the player who was released from the team to make space for zews. While roster changes like that are a part of eSports, the matter was made further complicated when you take into account that SHOOWTiME’s family more or less depended on his income from professional play to help pay their bills.
Any SHOWTiME’s fans or just decent human beings will be glad to know that the player already has a team lined up. It was announced that Gustavo Gonçalves is going to join the already full roster of INTZ e-Sports, which already had Augusto “gut0” Bertora, Raphael “cogu” Camargo, and Allan “invul” Diniz on the team prior to Denner “KHTEX” Barchfield and João “Horvy” Horvath joining on July 19. Only four days later, SHOOWTiME also joined, making it hard to tell who is going to be playing in the main roster.
While INTZ e-Sports is a step-down from Immortals, both in pay and level of competition, probably, it’s still good that the player will be able to keep his skills sharp in case a better offer from a stronger team comes along. Such is the life in eSports, nobody said it’s easy, even though it might look like it.
