ESL One Cologne 2016 – TL jdm64 skins

July 13, 2016 - Esports

When the news broke that the CLG AWPer Josh “jdm64” Marzano got traded to Team Liquid for their AWP player Kenneth “koosta” Suen, the Internet was optimistic. Serious analysts like Thorin, as well as the Reddit hype train, agreed that the trade was an expression of pure genius by TL management. Getting rid of one of their worse players who couldn’t really fit into Liquid’s playstyle in favor of one of the best AWPers in North America is a deal everyone would make in a heartbeat.

Of course, it remained to be seen how the new AWPer would fit in. Soon after, it was announced that Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev would act as a stand in for two big tournaments, while SK Gaming’s Jacob “Pimp” Winneche would replace s1mple after ESL One Cologne. Liquid fans were very optimistic about their team’s chances in the future, some people even said that the management is making correct moves in order to build a real world-class CS:GO team. As it turns out, it was true. With less than a month of real practice and playing basic CS:GO without any esoteric strats, Liquid made it through the Major, before finally losing to the reigning Major Champions SK Gaming in the Grand Final. Josh Marzano played a considerable role in his new team’s victories, not looking outclassed at all by his competition. With that said, it’s quite interesting to see which skins he prefers.
